IANRAC III has closed fruitfully in Beijing

Lately, the 3rd meeting of IANR closed successfully. The theme is “from basic to clinic”. More than 300 representatives attended the three-day conference, while over 60  authoritative experts made discussions and exchange in three aspects,  the basic research, clinical practice and basic and clinical transformation of the Neurorestoratology.

        Hongyun Huang, Chairman of Organizing Committee of the 3rd IANRAC, together with Geoffrey Raisman, Honorary Chairman of Academic Committee, as well as member of England’ Royal Academy and Paul R. Sanberg, editor of Cell Transplantation from University of South Florida gave so wonderful speeches .The fruitful conference have reached consensus ,which marks the transform from concept changing ,step1 to the second step, treatment exploring. This means the concept is clear that nerves can be repaired. And now it’s time to explore the therapeutic effect through clinical trials and experimental treatment. The 3rd step is comparison and consolidation while the fourth is standard treatment .The fifth one is popularization and improvement, which will need a long time. Step 6,also the ultimate goal is clinical curing. It’s time when we human completely know diseases’ evolution law and the treatment means, so we can cure the disease clinically.

       One of the main results of the 3rd IANRAC is that the  professional journals have increased to three,including American《CELL TRANSPLANTATION》Swiss《Frontiers in Neurorestoratology》 and 《American Journal of Neuroprotection and Neuroregeneration》,and the first special issue of IANR on 《CELL TRANSPLANTATION》meet with the participants for the first time. Secondly, 27 more contributing members are selected as council members. And work committee has been established, with Executive Committee, Scientific Committee, Translational Medicine Committee, Education Committee and International Coordinate Committee. What’s more, the editorial board of English 《Neurorestoratology》 has been confirmed, the editing process for the book has been started .Finally, Jordan’s team of IANR will hold the 4th IANRAC in Jordan in April.2011, together with Global College of Neuroprotection & Neuroregeneration and American Society for Neural Therapy and Repair. No doubt that as Summit of this area, IANRAC will produce deep impact on world medical development.
